In addition to my regular photography project, I’ve decided to do another little project of sorts this summer. I am compiling a list of things that make me feel happy, and I will attempt to photograph most of them. I need a little pick me up as I have been down in the dumps lately. I decided that re-focusing my attention on good things will be a helpful practice. I have ambitious plans of my list including 100 things. We shall see!
I think that all of the troubles going on right now in the world are really affecting me on a personal level. I know that I am not alone in this. I’m sure many of you are feeling compassion, frustration, fear, and anger just to name a few emotions. The troubles are temporary. This world will one day fade away, but until then, we must figure out how to thrive where we are. Part of that thriving in my case involves focusing in on the things that bring me joy. I definitely tend to be a “glass half empty” person, but I want to fight against that and look for the joys in life, big or small. Wish me luck!
Here’s a great picture to remind me of what’s truly wonderful and joyous in my life: loving my kidlets. 🙂
